What distinguishes Dr Gottlieb, MD?

dr.gottlieb 1 von 1

I have been working exclusively in the field of foot surgery for over 18 years and am the only doctor in the Berlin area who treats the whole foot: from the ankle, to the tarsal, to the metatarsus, to the forefoot.

I take the time necessary for a serious and very good examination and diagnosis. With the best professional know-how and extensive experience, I address your concerns and pain as well as your needs and wishes. After a thorough examination and joint discussion with you, I then recommend the most suitable treatment method for you. It is important to know that my professional expertise not only allows me to reconstruct the static of the foot, but also to treat ALL problems of the entire foot.

My distinctive expertise is based on special training at home and abroad, on active research work as well as on research cooperations with the best foot specialists worldwide. I am therefore able to incorporate all symptomatic and causative therapy options into the treatment.

As a specialist for the whole foot, I always work with the utmost meticulousness to help my patients. The procedures of a treatment are planned by me with the utmost care, above all also to keep possible risks as low as possible or, at best, to exclude them completely.

In addition, my practice has a special examination facility using a foot podium. I am one of the few foot surgeons to have this examination platform with integrated podoscope. It is used for:

  • Analogue representation of the foot pressure distribution pattern
  • Examination of the static axis of the feet and lower legs at eye level under load
  • Clinical examination of the function and mobility of the lower legs, ankles and musculature
  • To guide stretching exercises
  • Measurement of the pelvic position

All statically caused malpositions, for example, are much easier to recognise and diagnose - also because the foot is at eye level.

In my foot therapy practice, I therefore combine all services related to the foot: holistic foot therapy and foot surgery, but also orthopaedic technology and podiatry.

I work as a private doctor and am certified by the Gesellschaft für Fuß- und Sprunggelenkchirurgie e.V. (Society for Foot and Ankle Surgery). (GFFC). My patients benefit considerably from the regular, scientific exchange with other colleagues and the active participation in congresses and symposia at home and abroad and enjoy a high level of security through treatment by a recognised medical expert.

Dr Tonio Gottlieb, MD, has published several scientific articles in the specialist press and thus ensures further development in the field of foot medicine.

One of his topics is "The Jones dressing cast for safe soft tissue management in foot and ankle surgery".
