What distinguishes Berlin foot surgeon Dr. med. Tonio Gottlieb, MD?

dr.gottlieb 1 von 1

Since the early 2000s, I have been working exclusively in the field of foot surgery and treat the entire foot: from the ankle joint, through the tarsus and midfoot, to the forefoot.

A serious and thorough examination requires time, and I take that time for you. Only in this way is an accurate diagnosis possible. With the highest level of expertise and comprehensive experience, I address your concerns, your pain, as well as your needs and wishes. After a detailed examination and joint discussion with you, I will recommend the most suitable treatment method. It is important to know that, due to my professional expertise, I can not only reconstruct foot statics but also treat ALL problems of the entire foot.

Your foot specialist in Berlin

I am a board-certified specialist in “General Surgery” and in “Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery.” My expertise is based on specialized training in Germany and abroad, on active research, and on research collaborations with leading foot specialists worldwide. As your foot specialist in Berlin, I can therefore integrate all symptomatic and causal therapy options into your treatment.

The foot at eye level with a podoscope

This special examination option on the foot pedestal makes it possible to recognize and diagnose all static misalignments even more precisely. It allows for:

  • Analog display of the foot pressure distribution pattern
  • Assessment of the static axis of the feet and lower legs under load
  • Clinical examination of the function and mobility of the lower legs, foot joints, and musculature
  • Instruction in stretching exercises
  • Measurement of pelvic alignment

I work as a private physician and am certified by the German Society for Foot and Ankle Surgery (GFFC). My patients benefit greatly from my regular scientific exchange with colleagues and my active participation in national and international congresses and symposia. They enjoy the safety of treatment by a recognized medical expert.
